On October 17, 2002, we rushed our 8 week old son to the hospital. Six hours later, he was diagnosed with Truncus Arteriosus and I briefly landed in Holland. The very next day, however, I was deported and ended up somewhere between the ambiguous and the unknown.
Eight and a half years later, the terrain has become somewhat familiar but still filled with unchartered areas and hidden hazards. I am a bit older, a little more brazen, somewhat more informed and continuously grateful to be on this amazing, complicated journey of a life affected by CHD. And at my best, I am simply Tiffany: the mom of Cole & Mason and the wife of Shawn.
